There is a lot of noise around this question. Here is a straight comparison, without pushing you toward either answer.
What Is the Same
Chemically identical. Optically identical. Both are graded against the same criteria and both are genuinely durable stones you can wear every day. A jeweller cannot tell them apart without specialist equipment, and nobody looking at the ring ever will.
What Is Different
Origin. Natural diamonds formed in the earth over billions of years. Lab grown diamonds are created in controlled conditions over weeks.
Price. Lab grown diamonds cost considerably less than mined stones of comparable quality.
Availability. Natural diamonds of a given size and quality are finite. Lab grown diamonds can be produced to specification, which makes larger and higher clarity stones far more accessible.
Resale. Neither should be bought as a financial investment. Resale values differ between the two and both typically sell well below retail.
Which Should You Choose?
Choose lab grown if you want the largest, best cut stone your budget will allow.
Choose natural if the origin story and the scarcity genuinely matter to you, and you are comfortable with what that costs.
Both are real diamonds. Both are beautiful. The right answer depends entirely on what you value.
A Note on Certification
Whichever you choose, insist on independent certification. We supply IGI and DIA certified stones only, each with a report you can verify against the laboratory record.
